Fraternity house shuffle
By

It’s no secret that Northwestern students have a work hard, play hard mentality. For the convenient on-campus party, many turn to none other than North Campus’s Fraternity Quad. Over the past three years, however, finding your frat event has been more of a challenge – in the past two years, the chapters have done some major moving around.

While most frats have maintained the same residences, some have left campus either temporarily or permanently. Last year, Delta Upsilon left campus after having its charter suspended for a year; Beta Theta Pi then moved into DU’s residence. The summer of 2012 also saw the shutdown of Sigma Phi Epsilon

Pi Kappa Alpha moved into the former residence of Chi Psi, as the latter chapter was kicked off campus in early 2012. Delta Tau Delta found a new home in Pike’s old residence, being rechartered in 2011 after facing a four-year suspension.

So next time you make the trek to the north on Sheridan Road in your finest cowboy/fitness/patriotic attire, use this miniature frat history lesson and the interactive map below give you a better sense of the Greek land to which you’re headed.
