Members of the Evans Scholars Class of 2011 painted the Rock today to show their pride. The Evans Scholars receive the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship and have a house in the sorority quad, located at 721 University Place. From the Northwestern Web site:
“Holders of Chick Evans Caddie Scholarships receive one-year full tuition and housing scholarships renewable for four years. The first two Evans Scholars enrolled at Northwestern in 1930, and 10 years later a formal chapter of Evans Scholars was established. The first of 14 chapters nationwide, the Northwestern chapter has had more than 550 alumni in its 70-plus years.”
