Students, faculty and Evanston residents gathered in Deering Library tonight for a special performance coordinated by the theatre department. The selection of poems and passages from plays was in conjunction with the library's current light installation. "Rage Against the Dying of the Light" is an illumination that has been projected on the front of the library every evening from 5 to 9 pm since Monday. Designed by Italian light artist Marco Rotelli, it features words from Dante, Dickinson and others to light up the darkest nights of winter. The final display of Rotelli's work will be tomorrow night.
