It’s been a busy year for the Northwestern Cycling Team. NU’s premier pedalers have remained competitive in the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference, increased campus presence and are now sitting at more than 40 members. But there’s a strangely aesthetic element to sports, and cycling is no different. Aside from rigorous training and spirited races, the cycling team is able to travel from state to state, checking out some of the best, most scenic routes the Midwest has to offer. Team President Joe Hooker (McCormick ’13) sat down with North by Northwestern to talk about memorable runs and his favorite spots for cycling.
