How I Met Your Mother – The Robin Scherbatsky
Main character Robin Scherbatsky ordered this concoction so many times that MaClaren's Pub decided to name it after her. Originally invented by her friend, Marshall Eriksen, the drink features coconut rum, peach Schnapps, vanilla vodka, strawberry crème liqueur, cranberry juice, sugar and maraschino cherries. Kick back and relax with this drink that can only be described as legen – wait for it – dary.
The Inbetweeners – The “Man’s Drink”
This cocktail was made and tested by teenagers Will, Jay and Simon to give them confidence to talk to girls. The volatile drink is a mix of vodka, whiskey and a load of crème de menthe. If you need something strong to get you through the stress of midterms, this is a pretty good option. That is, as long as you’re willing to brave the terrible hangover afterwards.
Parks and Recreation – Sweetums Fizz
Sweetums Fizz is the official drink of the Snakehole Lounge, a club part-owned by Parks employees Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford. Ingredients include fruit-flavored vodka, club soda, lime juice and high-fructose corn syrup from Pawnee’s Sweetum’s Factory. It may be high in calories, but you’re still gonna want to treat yo’self to this one.
Gilmore Girls – Founder’s Day Punch
This drink is known for being incredibly strong. The signature punch is made of passion fruit juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, sparkling apple cider, vodka and brandy. Luckily, this drink comes with its own hangover cure: a loaf of bread, a pound of crackers and a quart of olive oil. Not very delicious, but you may need it if you’re prone to blackouts like Rory and her Yale friends.
Narcos – Colombian Margaritas
This drink is a staple throughout the show for Pablo Escobar and his crew. A minor twist on a classic margarita, it includes Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and blue agave syrup. If you want a taste of the Narcos life without all of the drugs, this one’s for you.
Bonus: Orange is the New Black – Poussey’s Toilet Hooch
Getting drunk in prison isn’t easy, and you have to be creative to do it. Poussey is famous for the makeshift alcohol she makes in the prison bathroom, which includes Kool-Aid, old fruit, ketchup and moldy bread. It may be better than the Jungle Juice at frat parties, but you still shouldn’t try this at home, kids.
