ESPN’s Andy Katz reports athletic director Jim Phillips is scheduled to meet with the team at 11 a.m. CST.
A press conference has yet to be scheduled.
Updated, 7:00 p.m.: Athletic director Jim Phillips made a statement and took questions from media at a press conference at 5:30 p.m. The decision to fire Bill Carmody was based off of all 13 years of his tenure, not just the 2012-13 season. Phillips will be in contact with senior forward Drew Crawford and commits Jaren Sina and Nate Taphorn about moving forward with a new coach.
