Funding of A-status student groups, which wrapped up Wednesday night, is not the most exciting thing in the universe. But this interactive universe may be one of the more exciting (okay, hyperactive) depictions of ASG funding.
What does it all mean? A group’s size: The amount of funding it received. A group’s speed: The percentage of funding change compared to last year. A group’s distance from ASG: The amount of funding change.
So A&O got a lot of money (it’s big), a lot more money than last year (it’s far from ASG), but its percentage increase wasn’t that much (it’s a bit slow). By contrast, Lovers and Madmen doesn’t get that much money (it’s kind of small), it got just a few thousand dollars more than last year (it’s not too far from ASG), but its percentage increase was very high (so it’s pretty fast).
Groups that lost money or lost a high percentage of funding are near ASG or slow, respectively.
We’re not sure what else you’ll learn, but you can click on groups to get their funding total and a brief description. Scroll down to see a few more charts.
