A&O Productions announced in a press release that indie duo MS MR will be the opening act for this year’s Blowout concert on Friday, Oct. 10.
Based in New York City, the musical duo Lizzy Plapinger and Max Hershenow achieved their spot in the limelight after releasing their 2012 single, “Hurricane.” Now signed to Columbia Records, MS MR released their newest album, Secondhand Rapture, with hits like “Fantasy.”
Known for their vibrant stage presence and alternative music, Pitchfork awarded “Hurricane” as the ‘Best New Track’ in May 2012.
A&O hinted at their headliner, Big Sean, last week. A&O’s fall Blowout will take place at 7 p.m. in Northwestern’s Welsh-Ryan Arena. Tickets are now available at the Norris Box Office website for $10. Free shuttles will be provided to and from Welsh-Ryan. Pickup locations will be announced on A&O’s website later this week. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
