He has a TV show, a podcast, a book, a one-man show and roles in multiple other TV shows and movies – and in a week, he’ll have a comedy show at Northwestern.

Chris Gethard, known for The Chris Gethard Show, will come to NU on Monday, May 15 for a stand-up show put on by A&O Productions and the South Asian Students Alliance. The opener will be announced soon.

The Chris Gethard Show, which is moving from Fusion to truTV for its third season, calls itself “the most bizarre and often saddest talk show in New York City.” Gethard also hosts the podcast Beautiful Stories with Anonymous People on Earwolf, where he calls random people and tries to hold a conversation for an hour. He was recently featured in Don’t Think Twice, a film by Mike Birbiglia that debuted at South by Southwest 2016, and also plays Todd on Broad City. In addition, he’s had roles on Parks and Recreation, The Office and Inside Amy Schumer. In 2012, he wrote the book A Bad Idea I’m About to Do, and in 2014, he released the comedy album My Comedy Album. And, if you’re not impressed yet, he recently acted in an Off-Broadway one-man show produced by Judd Apatow called Career Suicide.

Tickets will be available on the Norris Box Office website soon for $5.

Gethard will perform at Lutkin Hall on May 15 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and Wildcards will be checked at the door.
