While a sub-$200 HD DVD player seemed like more than a reasonable price (had me sold), Wal-Mart and Best Buy decided to take it one step further. Only three days ago, Engadget reported that Wal-Mart would be selling Toshiba’s A2 HD DVD player for a paltry $198. However, today they are reporting that both Wal-Mart and Best Buy will be selling it for around $99. I don’t think there is a better time to jump on the HD DVD band wagon. Bye, bye Blu-Ray.
While I don’t plan on buying any HD DVDs anytime soon, I do plan on Netflix-ing them. I’ll let you know how it goes.
